At Schuberg Philis we help our customers deliver on the promise of digital transformation. Insights from data enrich decisions based on intuition and observation; for the better we believe. A deep understanding of how to use and apply machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) is required to solve business challenges. The role entails working in cross-functional, agile teams of business consultants, data engineers, data architects, data artists and data scientists.
What is so special about our approach?
We cover the entire data value chain. We advise, design, implement, and maintain. To the highest standards; always pushing for 100%.
As data scientist you are part of a dedicated team with a full mandate to take all necessary decisions. We believe that by building these empowered multi-talent teams, we can help our clients achieve their goals. The same applies internally: helping and developing each other out is one of the foundations of our culture.
There are no unnecessary management layers. Office politics are absent; everyone is free to express their opinion. You are invited to create what you need to excel in your job. We are always looking for exceptional individuals: highly skilled experts who thrive when taking responsibility. Independently thinking professionals; experts that lead.
Your job
With your team, you will use data creatively to solve business challenges. More often than not uncovering new opportunities for improvement along the way. You, as a data scientist, will apply state-of-the-art modeling and quantitative techniques to mine, interpret, and represent the data. Combining a keen insight into the client’s business with highly developed and hands-on skills in ML/AI, you make inferences and offer advise based on insights from the data.
What we expect you to bring
You’re a problem solver, a business analyst, a scientist and a communicator, able to create new algorithms from scratch. You have an advanced degree in a quantitative field, such as data science, computer science, engineering, physics or mathematics. You’re experienced in applied statistics and datamining. Furthermore, you are familiar with translating business problems to the realm of data science and the outcome back to the business.
You have strong knowledge of programming languages, ideally with at least one full development language (like Java, Golang, C# or C++) and several scripting languages (like Python, R, MATLAB). Furthermore, you have a strong working knowledge of databases.
You pride yourself for a collaborative spirit and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to both colleagues and clients. You always aim for the best result possible.
