As a routine, our Mission Critical Engineers collect and centralize logs, query and alert them for operational troubleshooting and present business information to our customers. These very same logs are also a treasure for security monitoring. Accessing a web service, creating a new account, making a network connection, all these actions cause an event in a log somewhere. We are able to correlate and alert on these events. E.g. we can correlate outgoing network connections with lists of servers that are known to spread or control malware in order to detect and alert on malware infections.
We provide our customers with an online audit dashboard that is build on top of our internal audit application. The dashboard provides our customers and her auditors insight into audited results of key processes and controls: how well have all changes been implemented, did a customer face continuity risks in the environment and so on. We measured a 50% efficiency increase in the customer driven audits for their annual accounts since implementation of the Schuberg Philis audit methodology.
