Our Quality & Assurance (Q&A) team plays a key role in making this happen, ensuring that our solutions meet internal and external quality expectations—including regulatory demands, best practices, and evolving societal standards.
We are now looking for a new colleague to join our Q&A team with a special focus on sustainability. While ESG will be a core part of your scope, your role will be broader: you’ll help us define, improve, and embed quality across all domains, including technology, security, privacy, compliance, and sustainability.
Your role
You will help drive quality forward in our organization by performing risk assessments, improving the Integrated Control Framework, supporting audits, and leading strategic projects that embed sustainability into the way we work. This includes both internal development and external impact—by supporting customer-facing teams with pragmatic, high-value advice and tools.
You’ll keep an eye on regulatory developments, and translate them into clear, actionable guidance. You’ll also explore and help integrate relevant ESG frameworks such as GRI, EcoVadis, and B-Corp into our operations, reporting, and advisory work.
As part of our Q&A team, you will engage across disciplines and industries—from finance to retail and logistics—ensuring that our controls, processes, and reporting reflect not just compliance but leadership in quality and sustainability. You will help maintain and further develop our ISO-certified management systems, including ISO 9001 (quality), EcoVadis and roadmap to B-Corp, and contribute to audit readiness and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and evolve the sustainability roadmap, embedded in our integrated quality approach.
- Contribute to the company-wide quality, audit, risk, and compliance agenda.
- Perform internal and customer-facing risk assessments, identifying opportunities. for improvement.
- Lead or contribute to projects that help internal and external stakeholders meet ESG goals.
- Support compliance and certification programs, including CSRD, ISO 9001, EcoVadis and B-Corp certifications.
- Translate complex standards and frameworks into practical, usable tools for customer teams.
- Act as a trusted advisor and sparring partner on quality and ESG topics.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders inside and outside the company—including customers, partners, & strategic alliances, and represent Schuberg Philis externally as our ESG Specialist.
What you bring
- Experience in quality domains such as technology, security, privacy, and compliance
- Hands-on experience with project delivery and/or strategic advisory work in a risk or audit-related context
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to bring structure and clarity to complex topics
- A pragmatic mindset, able to turn theory into actionable steps
- Confidence to challenge assumptions and improve the status quo
- Enthusiasm for engaging with internal teams, external auditors, and customer stakeholders
- At least 5 years of experience in sustainability, ESG strategy, or adjacent fields
- Familiarity with sustainability frameworks such as GRI, EcoVadis, or B-Corp, and experience embedding them in operational contexts
- Curiosity for technology and innovation, including public cloud and AI
- Fluency in Dutch and English, and solid understanding of the Dutch regulatory landscape
