As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that works with and for a customer with a specific Azure focus. All of these teams have different focus areas and different team dynamics. The activities range from building Azure landing zones and enablement platforms for trading environments, to running traditional banking platforms and migrating critical applications to Azure. Based on your skillset and your experience, you will land in the customer team that best suits you!

In your role as Azure Cloud Engineer, you will be involved in:

  • Designing cloud solution architectures for migrations and green-field deployments
  • Driving the migrations of on-premises workloads to Azure
  • Developing reusable artefacts, such as Infrastructure-as-Code templates, scripts and CI/CD pipelines
  • Creating solutions for operational excellence, such as monitoring, logging and configuration management
  • Deploying both commercial-off-the-shelve as well as custom-built applications through CI/CD pipelines
  • Implementing technical improvements, cost optimization, code reviews and lifecycle management
  • Troubleshooting operational issues such as service interruptions, performance degradation, etc.
  • Automating every aspect of repetitive and mundane work.

What is your profile? You have..

  • Understanding of Cloud Landing Zones and the Cloud Adoption Framework
  • Experience with Azure resources (VMs, App Service, SQL Server, VNET, Firewall, Key Vault, Storage Account)
  • Understand of and experience with Azure RBAC, Policy and Monitor
  • Experience with scripting in PowerShell (bash with AC CLI will be a nice bonus)
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, especially YAML pipelines
  • Experience with Configuration Management (Chef, Ansible, PS DSC)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (ARM,, Bicep, Terraform)
  • Understanding of Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) and the inter-dependencies with Azure
  • Experience supporting and managing traditional on-premises environments

If you bring additional experience with Kubernetes (AKS or ArgoCD), this will broaden the type of customer teams you will potentially land in.
