Our new Rotterdam office, which opened its doors in May 2022, is already serving as the homebase for multiple Schuberg Philis customer teams. All dedicated to the only KPI that matters – 100% customer satisfaction – our teams continue to put experts in the lead no matter what project they undertake. And whether at our Schiphol-Rijk office, in Rotterdam, or anywhere else, we ensure that our company’s experts work intimately alongside our customer’s experts.
The second office is in the Adriaan Volkerhuis, a building designed by Huig Maaskant. The Rotterdam native is known as the architect of progress, whose designs forwarded innovation and progressive values. In that sense, physical features of our new workspace reflect our company’s philosophy. At Schuberg Philis, we often say: “It's the people, actually.” Being a human-centric IT company is something that sets us apart, and we’re eager work with the many IT experts who live in and around Rotterdam.
For several years now, the Rotterdam-The Hague metropolitan area has been an emergent hub for innovation and served as the gateway to Europe. It is a region rich with talent, and we foresee our new office as an environment that can help nurture this talent.
“Expanding to Rotterdam was an easy choice because of the talent and diversity that the Rotterdam-The Hague area has to offer. We believe this fits seamlessly with our multidisciplinary teams,” says José Brenninkmeijer, Managing Director, Rotterdam. “The high level of education of IT talent, the diverse educational institutions, the willingness to innovate, and the network of Rotterdam Partners made it even more attractive to establish ourselves here.”
Increasingly complex business needs
Since its founding in 2000, Schuberg Philis has grown to nearly 400 colleagues. Today our mission-critical IT solutions focus on serving industries such as manufacturing; energy; travel, logistics & infrastructure; financial services, the public sector & government; and retail.
Our large diverse teams can tackle these domains’ complexities in a way that is holistic and as much focused on today’s priorities as those of the future. Still, their increasingly complex business needs demand an expansion of expertise for issues that transcend purely IT questions. And while we offer a 100% uptime guarantee, what has always fascinated us far more than our customers’ technological challenges are their strategic business goals.
“Digital transformations, digital trust, cyber security, supply chain optimization, IT/OT convergences, and cloud transformations are all impacting the vital sectors. For businesses to survive in these sectors, it’s crucial that time-sensitive processes enable the right decisions in a distributed landscape. For our current and future customers to maintain their competitive advantage, we believe we need to continue investing in our own collective knowledge, ensuring we can continue to well serve the end-to-end chain," says Steve Douho, Sales Director.
“In this way, we can deliver on our growth and scalability," continues Arjan Eriks, Managing Director, Rotterdam. “We are not ruling out the possibility of opening our next branch somewhere else within the next two years. Spectacular talent combined with our insight into what customers need will guide our progress. We’re tremendously proud to be taking this step within the Rotterdam-The Hague metropolitan area.”
