The Dutch Association of Insurers welcomes Schuberg Philis as a new partner. Through this partnership, the two organisations are bringing the insurance sector together around a shared ambition: helping insurers remain technologically resilient, agile and future-proof.

Insurers fulfill an essential role in society. This requires IT that is always available, secure and reliable—especially when it matters most. Schuberg Philis designs and manages mission-critical IT environments that organisations and their customers must be able to rely on around the clock. The partnership combines this expertise with the knowledge, practical experience and current challenges of the Association’s members.

The collaboration focuses on three key themes. The first is the continuity of business-critical IT, including claims-processing and policy-administration systems. Schuberg Philis and the Association will also work together on technological resilience and operational robustness, particularly in light of DORA. The third theme is the responsible modernisation of existing IT landscapes, enabling trusted core systems and modern technology to reinforce one another.

“Digitalisation and cyber resilience are high on insurers’ agendas,” says Richard Weurding, Managing Director of the Dutch Association of Insurers. “With Schuberg Philis, we are adding specialist knowledge and practical experience to our network. This partnership will allow us to learn together, share knowledge and further strengthen the sector’s digital resilience.”

From expertise to collective impact
For Schuberg Philis, the partnership is about more than sharing technological expertise. The greatest challenges involving continuity, regulation and innovation can only be addressed through long-term collaboration between insurers, experts and industry organisations.

“IT is no longer merely a support function; it has become a strategic pillar of insurers’ operations. As such, IT directly affects trust, continuity and customer service,” says Floris van der Kolk, Customer Director Sales of Schuberg Philis. “As a partner of the Association, we want to stand alongside the sector: listening to its concerns, making knowledge accessible and working together on solutions that make a real difference in practice.”

Through events, knowledge sharing and substantive collaboration, Schuberg Philis and the Association aim to contribute to a sector that is not only prepared for today’s challenges but can also look to the future with confidence.
