Carbon footprint report 2022-2025

At Schuberg Philis, our foundation is built on a commitment to “Tech for Good,” where responsible engineering goes hand-in-hand with lasting, positive impact for our customers, society, and the planet. For over 25 years, we have integrated sustainability into the core of our business, embedding it in our technologies, partnerships, and day-to-day decisions. Not as a requirement, but as a matter of purpose and principle. Our approach is underpinned by a belief in measurable value creation, resilient digital systems, and solutions that stand the test of time.

As part of our broader social responsibility, we are dedicated to Sustainable Development Goal 13: Climate Action as one of the five goals where we belief that we can make the largest impact. Through our ongoing efforts, we continually reduce the environmental impact of our operations and services, which includes decarbonizing digital supply chains, engineering energy-efficient architectures, and fostering a culture of accountability throughout our organization. In this spirit, we closely track and manage our carbon emissions, with a strategic focus on accelerating the reduction of our Scope 3 emissions, in line with the Science-Based Targets initiative’s 1.5C trajectory.

This report provides limited assurance over our carbon footprint for the years 2022 through 2025, covering all relevant scopes (1, 2, and 3) as defined by the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol. It outlines our measurement methodology, governance approach, and highlights significant events that have shaped our footprint. Key milestones include the migration of our in-house data center to an external location and our shift to Dutch renewable energy procurement since 2024. These actions have led to a notable decrease in scope 2 emissions, although with some offsetting increases in scope 3. Additionally, the onboarding of Bridgepoint as our majority shareholder resulted in a temporary rise in scope 3 emissions due to increased professional advisory services.

Despite these events and the continued growth of our company, we are pleased to report a reduction in our overall carbon footprint per million EUR of revenue. Looking ahead, we remain focused on further lowering our emissions and embedding sustainability at every level while supporting our business growth.
