Full-time Schiphol-Rijk 32-40 hours

In your role as Data Engineer, you will be part of our Backbone Team, a multidisciplinary team focusing on evolving our operational and financial frameworks.

We do more than just develop in-house applications; we ensure these solutions encompass end-to-end processes that significantly improve our operations and financial frameworks. Our team isn't just about keeping the lights on; it's about enhancing and expanding the functionality and strategic impact of every system we implement.
Whether it's integrating a new SaaS application into our existing landscape or ensuring seamless data flows and connectivity, our focus is on creating a robust and integrated framework. We manage everything from the implementation phase to the seamless integration of systems, all while maintaining a sharp focus on data collection for enhanced insights.

Data is the cornerstone of our strategy. As a member of our team, you'll contribute to aligning systems to enhance functionality but also to implement and uphold stringent data governance and lineage standards. Our work involves crafting a solid data strategy that supports the entire organization’s decision-making processes. By managing and manipulating data, you'll ensure that we're not just collecting information, but transforming it into actionable insights that drive success across all teams.

Who are we looking for?   In this role, you will have a lot of fun if you have the following profile:

  • Experience in designing and implementing cloud-native data pipelines;
  • Proficiency in Python and the relevant data library ecosystem;
  • Strong knowledge of AWS, particularly data-related services (such as S3, Lambda, Glue, and Athena);
  • Familiarity with managing large datasets in both data lakes (S3) and data warehouses (Redshift);
  • Experience or understanding of orchestration tools like Airflow or similar platforms;

Nice to have:

  • Experience in Platform Engineering and Infrastructure as Code (e.g. AWS CDK);
  • Experience in crafting data strategy, including aspects of data governance, architecture, quality, and security, is highly valued.

We are very much looking forward to meeting you!
