Technology Partner & Procurement Manager

Full-time 32-40 uur

Experts in the lead: you own procurement, contract management, and technology partnerships at Schuberg Philis

You and your direct colleague own how we buy, how we contract, and how we manage the technology partnerships that power our services. At Schuberg Philis these are not separate workstreams. They reinforce each other daily, and you are the person who holds all three together.

Your scope covers the full spectrum. One week you are negotiating a complex multi-year contract with a strategic vendor; the next you are coaching a delivery team through a procurement decision or tracking the certification requirements needed to maintain a partner designation.

Most of our suppliers are IT vendors and this is where you bring most experience. You will also support our marketing, finance, facility, and people teams with their partnerships and procurement challenges. You know how to get interesting new players to the table, ask the right questions, and challenge the status quo, while managing and deepening the relationships we already have. You work across all teams, and on projects of every size.

You are responsible for:

  • Company-wide procurement, both IT and non-IT. From tactical and ad-hoc purchases to long-term sourcing strategy.
  • Managing our relationships with strategic technology partners end-to-end. Including partner program status, tier designations, advanced specializations, and certification requirements across our internal teams.
  • Navigating vendor licensing and partner programs. Cloud provider frameworks, enterprise agreements, reseller and MSP arrangements, keeping Schuberg Philis compliant and commercially optimized.
  • Coordinating Market Development Fund (MDF) claims and co-sell opportunities, working with our technical and commercial teams to fully leverage available partner benefits.
  • Acting as the internal point of contact for partner program changes, renewal cycles, and competency scoring,  translating requirements into concrete actions for engineers and delivery managers.
  • Cost forecasting and spend optimization across our supplier landscape.
  • Full lifecycle contract management: drafting, reviewing, redlining, negotiating, renewing, and challenging where needed.
  • Creating, updating, and executing company-wide procurement and contract management strategy, fostering a culture of spreading knowledge and skills, where teams are empowered to procure autonomously.

How we work

We put experts in the lead, and we work in teams. You are the primary point of contact for procurement and contract management across the business, and part of the primary process for how Schuberg Philis buys. Our organization is decentralized - our multidisciplinary, self-steering teams have significant mandate to make their own decisions, including on procurement and contracts. That means your role is as much about coaching and enabling colleagues as it is about executing deals yourself. You take initiative, set direction, and bring out the best in the people around you.

What makes you successful here:

You have a strong affinity for technology and a broad command of the procurement profession - and you know how to transfer that knowledge effectively. You are entrepreneurial and passionate about your field. You hold yourself to high standards and raise the bar for those around you.

Experience and background

  • WO/HBO level with relevant purchasing education or training.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience leading procurement projects, reviewing, redlining, and (re)negotiating contracts.
  • A proven track record in stakeholder and supplier management, purchasing SaaS services, hardware, and software. Knowledge of reseller and distribution markets is a prerequisite.
  • Experience with strategic technology vendor or cloud partner programs. Including licensing frameworks, partner tier management, or equivalent ecosystem programs, is a strong advantage.

How you work

  • Meticulous. Precise, analytical, and detail oriented. You can zoom in and out. Moving between the strategic picture and the fine print without losing either. You dare to ask the right questions and challenge the status quo.
  • Collaborative. You build strong relationships and are genuinely interested in what your colleagues do. Your energy makes others excited about the work ahead.
  • Adaptable and persistent. You are a self-starter; proactive, confident, curious, and pragmatic. You thrive in organized chaos, bring structure where it's needed, and know how to become part of something bigger.
  • Result-driven. Closing good deals, finding savings, and untangling complex contracts are what make this work rewarding for you. No contract is too complicated: you'll get to the bottom of it.
  • Bilingual. Comfortable in an English-first environment, with strong Dutch for the many colleagues and stakeholders who prefer it.
