We work on complex systems, critical interfaces, and business critical platforms for and with our customers. We understand business context and customer requirements, design systems and platforms and automate them as much as possible.
As we continue to grow our data capabilities, we are seeking a highly experienced Data Engineer with strong platform engineering skills to join one of our biggest dedicated ‘Customer Teams’. The ideal candidate will have strong technical abilities in data engineering in general, and extensive hands-on experience with AWS stack in particular. You will play a crucial strategic role alongside our team in ensuring our data stack is future-proof and aligns with current best practices.
Key responsibilities
- Data Architecture Evolution: Lead the enhancement and modernization of our data infrastructure, leveraging AWS services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, and Redshift to ensure scalability and performance.
- Data Workflow Management: Design and optimize orchestration processes and tools to ensure efficient data workflows with technologies like AWS Step Functions, Glue, and Apache Airflow is advantageous.
- Data Warehousing Oversight: Oversee and optimize data warehousing processes within Redshift, with a strong understanding of both managed and serverless technologies to drive effective solutions towards our serverless architecture.
- Data Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain rigorous standards for data quality, ensuring data integrity and consistency as a foundational aspect of our operations.
- Infrastructure Automation: Develop and manage infrastructure using Terraform, embracing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices for scalable and efficient deployments.
- Governance and Compliance: Collaborate with the team to uphold governance and compliance standards, ensuring all data-related processes meet regulatory and organizational requirements.
- Technical Collaboration and Leadership: Contribute to steering technical decisions and strategies. Bring a strong technical perspective to drive innovation, problem-solving, and effective project execution.
- Customer Engagement: Maintain effective communication and collaboration with the customer, translating complex technical requirements into actionable solutions and ensuring alignment across teams.

- Strong knowledge of orchestration tools, preferably AWS Step Functions and Apache Airflow.
- Experience with data modeling, ETL pipelines, and data warehousing.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (e.g Terraform)
- Deep understanding of serverless computing and managing serverless architectures.
- Familiarity with data quality tools and practices.
- Programming skills and coding standards, especially in Python and SQL (experience with DBT is an advantage).
- Project management experience, with the ability to prioritize tasks and projects effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
