Working within dedicated, cross-functional, self-steering Customer Teams, we take ownership of complex challenges, co-creating solutions that align with our customers’ goals. From designing and building robust systems to managing secure, business-critical platforms. Furthermore, we automate as much as possible, support the (customer) team and developers on applications, and keep the platform secure, up to date and available.
As an AWS Platform Engineer, you will lead the design, construction, and maintenance of cloud environments to meet infrastructure needs. This includes cloud-only as well as hybrid architectures, containerization, and the creation of developer tools to enhance productivity.
What will you do
Responsibilities vary depending on the specific cloud landscape, but may include
- Design and build AWS infrastructure for hybrid and cloud-native workloads.
- Implement and manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS) and containerized architectures.
- Develop CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments.
- Create reusable platforms to support microservices and distributed applications.
- Manage governance and security policies for multi-user environments.
- Migration of infrastructure(s) to AWS.
- Establish monitoring and observability practices using tools like CloudWatch and Datadog.
What you’ll bring
- Extensive experience with AWS services.
- Knowledge on any of the following containers technologies; Kubernetes (EKS), Docker, ECS.
- Proficiency in IaC tools such as Terraform and AWS CDKTF.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Github Actions, ArgoCD).
- Knowledge of native and/or hybrid architectures (AWS + on-prem).
- Ability to collaborate with development and operations teams.
- Ability to thrive in a self-steering environment, taking full ownership of tasks and projects.
- Eagerness to identify and taking initiative on opportunities for improvement.
