Help us modernize and migrate mission-critical integrations

At Schuberg Philis, we specialize in mission-critical IT, taking full ownership of the systems our customers depend on every day. Our engineers combine deep technical expertise with an automation-first mindset, working across the full stack to design, build, and operate highly reliable platforms.

We are looking for a Lead TIBCO Integration Engineer to drive the migration of a large-scale integration landscape supporting critical financial systems.

This role is focused on analyzing, migrating, and optimizing ~100 existing TIBCO integrations, ensuring continuity of business-critical data flows while enabling a transition toward a more modern, scalable integration ecosystem. As a Mission-Critical Integration Engineer, you will take ownership of the design, execution, and delivery of integration migrations, working closely with application teams, platform engineers, and external data providers to ensure seamless connectivity and performance.

/ What you will do?

  • Analyzing existing TIBCO BWCE and EMS integrations to define migration strategies and identify risks
  • Leading the migration of ~100 integrations across environments, ensuring stability and zero disruption to mission-critical systems
  • Designing and implementing message-driven integration flows using TIBCO BusinessWorks and EMS
  • Managing and optimizing TIBCO EMS brokers, including configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
  • Migrating integrations across TIBCO BusinessWorks versions (5.x/6.x to BWCE) and modern deployment environments
  • Ensuring reliable connectivity with external financial data providers, maintaining data integrity and delivery guarantees
  • Designing and implementing robust error handling, retry mechanisms, and transaction management
  • Transforming and orchestrating data across formats such as XML, JSON, and financial standards (e.g., ISO 20022, FpML)
  • Collaborating with application teams and vendors to align on integration contracts and dependencies
  • Documenting integration architectures, configurations, and operational procedures
  • Providing technical leadership and knowledge transfer to engineers within the team
  • Troubleshooting complex issues across messaging, middleware, network, and application layers

/ What you bring?

  • Strong hands-on experience with TIBCO BusinessWorks Container Edition (BWCE)
  • Deep expertise in TIBCO Enterprise Message Service (EMS), including administration and troubleshooting
  • Experience working with TIBCO BusinessWorks 5.x/6.x and performing version migrations
  • Solid understanding of message-driven and asynchronous integration architectures
  • Experience with enterprise integration patterns (ESB), including routing, orchestration, and transformation
  • Strong knowledge of JMS (Java Message Service) and messaging concepts
  • Experience building and consuming REST and SOAP services
  • Hands-on experience with data transformation (XML, JSON) and financial message formats
  • Experience with database connectivity (JDBC) and SQL
  • Understanding of network protocols and secure communication

/ Nice to have

  • Strong foundation in Linux/Unix environments, scripting (Shell/Python), and system troubleshooting
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud environments
  • Familiarity with alternative integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, IBM Integration Bus, Apache Camel)
  • Exposure to financial industry standards and regulations (e.g., MiFID II, DORA)
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Datadog, ELK stack)

If you’re an experienced TIBCO engineer who enjoys untangling complex integration landscapes, leading migrations, and ensuring mission-critical systems run flawlessly, we’d love to hear from you.
